More On the Religion Of Peace (get it? moron?)

November 29th, 2005 . by Cary

Here’s a website that will probably make my family-friendly list as soon as I make sure I’ve got the link right. *note: the link wasn’t right, I have corrected it as of 11/30/05 at 7:50 am Arizona time.*

Gunner (over at his blog) makes a point that I’ve been trying to get across:

Islam and Christianity cannot be compared. Christians view those not of their beliefs as possible converts; Islamist view those not of their beliefs as infidels, to be killed as quickly as possible.

Christians do not kill other religion’s followers on orders from their religious leaders.

Click on the first link at the beginning of this post, and just explore that web site. You should be able to start telling the difference between a Religion of Peace and the Peace of the Lord.

God Bless you, and may He soften your heart so you can hear the truth.

Thanksgiving

November 23rd, 2005 . by Cary

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I’ll probably not be posting this weekend – lots of time to spend with TMBWitW, and the puppies and kitties.

Take a look over at “Becoming Our Destiny” (link on the left) and read Jeff’s couple of posts – he’s got some views that should be read by all, in my opinion.

I’m thankful for God in my life, my beautiful wife, my healthy animals, a roof over my head, food in the pantry, and constructive work to be done.

I’m thankful I’m not stuck in a boring job, or with no job at all; I’m thankful that God is ridding me of bad habits – I’ve quit more bad habits with His help in the last ten years than most people have formed in their lifetimes!

Anyway – I pray that you and yours are safe, fed, and joyfully celebrating together this weekend.

Pardon the Dust

November 18th, 2005 . by Cary

That is, the dust over to the left. I’ve been going through my links, and there is a slight discrepency happening – some of the blogs I’ve linked to have gone cold, while some blogs that I read daily aren’t listed here.

I know why that is.

I have family and friends who visit here (hi, to both of you!) and the last thing I want to do is link them to some blogger who thinks nothing of dropping the occasional “F” bomb. See, most of my friends, and my immediate family, and the friends who are closer than family, are members of the church I attend.

They think I am fully conservative.

Heh heh.

Actually, I am able to read a blog and if there is language in it that cannot/should not be used in church on a regular basis, I “fog” over it. I know it’s there, I know where it is, I usually know what it means; I just put a mental blinder on myself so I don’t look at it and directly acknowledge its presence.

Like a zit.

Anyway – I am going to change some headings over there. First will be Family Ties, which will be G-rated blogs, usually Christian themed, and very easy to be dropped from with the first siting of a word that I would deem offensive to my wife.

Second will be Real Mature, where you will probably not be surprised to see the occasional cuss word; the keyword here is *occasional*. At a preset level, you will find that link moved.

Third will be Open Season, where you will find words with offensive connotations. Fair warning: Thar be curse words ahead. *pirate off* You will not find Andrew Dice Clay here, or even Lenny Bruce or George Carlin. The links that land here are on double secret probation, and will be likely to be moved off completely if I receive complaints.

Not that anyone really reads what I am writing; I guess most of this is for my own amusement, based on the lack of comments.

So – now you know where to go, and, if you are the owner of one of the links, where you fit in my little corner.

And, please – visit the links. I’ve e-mailed those who are there; they are real people. They may not want you to know who they are, but they are real.

Good Grief.

Go read this. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Are you back? Good.

Can you seriously stand there, with a straight face, and say that we can negotiate with these people? They don’t like us. They don’t like our lifestyle, with our wimminfolk all running around being productive and what not. They don’t like the fact that this country is powered by the people, and no one person can tell us what to do or not do. We have the power to vote and determine, all by our own selves, how we want to be governed.

Is the picture coming clearer yet?

Now, you ask why we are still in Iraq – because the Iraqis are still not strong enough on their own to stand up to these “Peacefully Religious” zealots and their facists followers. If the US and it’s allies (God Bless them, every one) were to pull out tomorrow, the resulting vacuum would suck in every wanna-be warlord and insurgent from around the world, and then the liberal, Muslim Supporting Media would be lamenting the fact that the people in Iraq are being slaughtered even faster than they were under Saddam.

Until the people of Iraq can resist the insurgents and terrorists who are trying to tear down the foundation we are trying to leave, the US and allied troops (God Bless them, every one) should remain in that country.

Because the last thing this ol’ warhorse is going to tolerate is another attack on the soil of this country. And that, my dear and gentle readers, is exactly what the Islamofacists are aiming for, and that is their next objective if the Muslim sympathizers in this country bleat loudly enough to get our troops pulled from Iraq.

Don’t stand in the middle of the sheep and wonder what happened. Let your governmental leaders know how you feel about the troops. Let them know that there are plenty of Americans who are supporting what the troops are doing, we just don’t have celebrity status or handlers helping us get our message across. Don’t let shriekers like Cindy Sheehan be the voice of America. Don’t let clueless “celebrities” like Janeane Garafalo be the ones who influence policy. If the Religion of Peace had their way, Cindy and Janeane would be first in line to be silenced.

Forever.

What Cindy and Janeane don’t realize is they are able to speak as they are because We the People decided to not allow a single ruler to dictate how we live.

Keep that in mind, America.

Even though some of you are rough around the edges, I still wouldn’t want any one of you to lose your freedoms and rights and responsibilities.

None of you.

OSM Has Launched

November 16th, 2005 . by Cary

Open Source Media, a joint venture involving open minded, intelligent bloggers from all over the world, has launched their new site where every headline story is sprinkled with links to blogs.

What’s so special about this, you ask? Well, they also link to MainStream Media articles – which means you can read the “official” accounts, and then read the blogs and see what’s really going on.

This development portends a move back to fair and balanced – the blogs have, since RatherGate, roared loadly enough that the rest of the world is starting to wonder if, hey, maybe the media is slanting the news a wee bit…

OK, that last bit was slightly sarcastic. OK, it was more than slightly sarcastic.

Go. Read. THINK!!! Don’t let the MSM think for you or tell you how to think. Do it for yourself, you may be surprised at how clearly you can see after that.
