Do You Smoke Cigarettes?
July 27th, 2006 . by CaryBefore I left to lay down, I saw this on Sgt. Allen’s blog:
This article tells me if you are buying your cigarettes from a “discount” store, or from someone not actually licensed to sell them, you may be supporting the His-Bollocks organization.
You. May. Be. Supporting. The. Terrorists.
Little helpful advice here – STOP SUPPORTING TERRORISTS BEFORE I HUNT YOU DOWN MYSELF.
Smoking is harmful to your health.
God loves you and wants you to be healthy. I quit with God’s help, so can you.
Good News and Bad News, Cary. The good news is that we don’t order any cigarettes online. The bad news is that we still smoke. We get bags of tobacco from an Indian reservation up here, buy the empty tubes with filters, and make the cigarettes ourselves with a little machine. Cuts the cost way down when you consider a pack of Marlboros is $5 bucks up here in Washington state. The race car driver Benny Parsons, that Mary posted about, just recently was diagnosed with lung cancer. He quit smoking back in the 1970’s and still got it. I wonder if it wasn’t the smoking, but the carbon monoxide fumes from the race cars that got him?
Something else…I read Sgt Allen’s blog and went to the link he refers to, and didn’t see a single thing about terrorists being connected to online cigarette sales. I don’t know the legality of purchasing cigarettes online, but I didn’t see anything relating to it at the link he posted.
But, cigarettes are chock full of such good, healthy things right?
Just kidding. Bad as can be for you, and hard as can be to quit.
No, nothing about on-line purchases. Just deals out of the back of someone’s car, or your cousin’s friend’s uncle got a good deal on a case…
I am certainly not going to begrudge you saving money the way your buying and building your own, Rick. Heck, I’ll be the last one to say you can’t save moeny doing it that way. Doesn’t sound like your supply line is connected iwht any kind of terrorist organization, so be in good health.
Carbon Monoxide doesn’t cause the cancer, it’s the other carcinogens in tobacco smoke (formaldyhyde, things like that) that are the cancer-causing agents. To a racer, exhaust is the elixar of life!
John, I couldn’t agree with you more.
