Quick Update
October 15th, 2009 . by CarySo – my “day off” was anything but. Got to working on the Hope Chest project and forgot my chiropractor appointment. Dr. P is very accomodating, however, and I managed to fit in during a lull in his schedule. Spent most of yesterday re-doing the weave on the front of the chest – the difference between the old and the new is mostly just how the wood looks; I think I managed to copy the style pretty well:
I’ve also matched the facing angles of the front piece, and need to piece that together before I can start assembling the front. Then, the only thing left is coloring the lighter pieces of walnut and the final coats. I’ll be meeting with the owner on the next few days to go over that decision…
DOn’t forget to tune in Friday morning at 0700 Mountain Standard Time for The O Word -I’m going to touch on the latest Healthcare garbage and the proliferation of RINOs in Congress. Don’t miss it!
Chat ya later…
Thank you for stopping by, In GOD We Trust, God bless you all, don’t buy or breed cats or dogs while homeless pets die (spay, neuter & adopt a pet, one by one, until there are none), Wear Red on Fridays, and support Warriors for Innocence!
Looks great! A nice match bro. You remind me of Norm from the New Yankee Workshop lol.
Semper Fidelis.
Off topic, I started a blog again and linked you up.
Norm? Really? Well, I’m flattered – he is an excellent craftsman. Please tell me you weren’t thinking “beard and flannel” when the comparison came to mind…
I’ll be over to check it out, bro.
