Hump Day

March 3rd, 2010 . by Cary

Good Bible study tonight – in the book of Proverbs, chapter 29. Ever notice how much time Proverbs goes over the difference between a foolish man and a wise man? Almost like the Word is saying “Beware of Fools!”

Worked in the deli today. Yesterday I went to the doctor’s office to discuss my outstanding numbers from my blood work. Guess who’s bad cholesterol is still too high? Guess who gets to cut back even further on processed sugar? That’s right, the same guy who works at a deli with one of the best bakers in the business, and who is married to a woman who makes killer cookies and brownies.

sigh

I’ll be driving a cab tomorrow, and watching MEG on Friday. Don’t know if I’ll be doing a show Friday night or not, since I may have to get a cab for the night shift. We’ll see.

Chat ya later…

Cary, whatever you do, get a grip on that cholesterol and sugar man, if not for you, for your girl, she needs a daddy…

This advice brought to you by a man that has had 2 heart attacks, 2 heart surgeries and is still severely diabetic, and I watch and count every carb and gram of sugar too..

It’s not easy amigo, but it’s stretched me out and kept me alive for the last 16 years…

My son was 8 and my twin girls were 5 when this crap hit me, they’re now 21 and my son is 24, and I have 4 beautiful grandsons I would be missing if I didn’t do everything I have to in order to keep hanging around, cashing in carbon credits.. 😛

Believe me, Fred, I have taken this matter to heart (so to speak). I’ll have you know that over the last 48 hours, the only processed sugar that I have consumed was in the form of one (1) Tagalong Girl Scout Cookie. Other than that, water and other healthy stuff. Which, when you consider how much garbage I would eat while driving a cab, is pretty darn good…

Yes, I need to stick around. I want to walk my daughter down the aisle, and I want to see my grandchildren.
