Really?
July 16th, 2010 . by CaryReally?
I had to bring the doors back to the shop; two of the door frames on this historic bungalow are nowhere near straight, true and plumb. OK, maybe plumb, but not straight or true. So, trim here, reshape there, done. The small pair is going on a new door frame, so it is STP, but there is less reveal so I had to set the hinges in further than I had them; since they were routed in to match the 1/2″ thickness of the door jamb, I had to route them a bit more. I’ll be going back Sunday afternoon to install them.
That’s not what I’m saying “Really?” about.
It’s this:
One hundred and nineteen. Degrees. Fahrenheit. On the cool side of the house…
But it’s a DRY heat…
Sure, if you consider 35% to be “dry” – when our usual humidity is closer to 8 or 9% …
Just walking out to get the paper this morning I broke a sweat. Never mind while I was working on the brakes!
Well, it’s the price you pay for living in paradise!
Stay hydrated my friend.
And a high price it is, indeed. I will look back on this day sometime in October or November, and laugh at how hot it gets around here every single year.
Hey, GB, when are you going to be through here again? Give me a holler, we could might get together for a cool glass of lemonade …
