Roller Coaster
December 25th, 2006 . by CaryWell, no baby.
Yet.
We traveled to the hospital this morning; we are at home this afternoon. The RN on duty told TMBWitW that the contractions, while painful and frequent, were not enough to admit her – she was not in full labor yet.
This is a very emotional and trying time for TMBWitW, as it is the culmination of her dreams and to be so close and yet so very far away, and to be told by a nurse who has no bedside manner that she isn’t really feeling labor yet – well, it was all I could do to not coldcock the RN myself.
Talk about a lack of empathy.
I am re-opening the pool, until that time that we are so sure of the impending birth that we see what color hair the little girl has.
OK, maybe not that late, but you know what I mean.
This has been the most tense and terrifying and thrilling and depressing Christmas I have ever experienced.
Thank you all for your prayers. Please keep praying, as we need all the help we can get.
Ups and downs my friend; looks like it’s going to be a long haul, but well worth the wait.
Merry Christmas!!!!!!
Thanks for the encouraging word, John. Much needed, and much appreciated.
ecl, thank you. I hope yours was a good one, full of the joy of the season.
Well it looks like you don’t have a Christmas Baby unless the event has happened and you are too busy or too asleep to post.
Love you and yours – Still praying…
Indeed bro. Let TMBWitW know we here on the left coast are praying diligently for the ‘great appearance!’
Besides, in 10 years, this will be great story fodder.
Great use of my time, anonymous.
Ford would have been careful to not step in you in the first place.
All the pain and stress will be worth it when you get to look your little girl in the eyes for the first time. Until then, just hang in there and know that we are all praying for you!!
