Really?
March 31st, 2011 . by CaryReally? I mean, really?

This is a shot of the remote reader for the backyard thermometer. Top figure is outside, second down is inside. Then the time (Mountain Standard Time), last line is the date and day. Took the shot with my camera phone, not too bad of quality for a snapshot. Here it is March, other parts of the country are getting snow fer cryin’ out loud, and I’m sitting here waiting for the sun to go down so I can work in my garage.
Sheesh.
On a side note – today marks what would have been Dad’s 83rd birthday. He passed away in 1992, at the tender age of 64, on the morning of Mom and Dad’s 42nd wedding anniversary. I still miss you, Pop. I always will.
Chat ya later…
Thank you for stopping by, In GOD We Trust, God bless you all, don’t buy or breed cats or dogs while homeless pets die (spay, neuter & adopt a pet, one by one, until there are none), Wear Red on Fridays, and support Warriors for Innocence!
I decided to walk 18 yesterday. The first time in about 10 years. It was near 90° here, + an added 40lbs, my couch potato roots dragging behind me on a not so flat track.
Note to self: take up cribbage as a contact sport.
Cribbage as a contact sport? Funny, I didn’t realize there was another way to play it, since Mom taught me early that cribbage was a “take no prisoners” game to begin with!
Yeah, 18 holes in that kind of weather will sure point out your shortcomings.
Here in SW Florida we have enjoyed moderate to cool weather for the last few weeks of winter and early spring. Love it.
I know what you mean about missing your dad.
I would love to have moderate to cool right now – although we are due for a cooling off this weekend. We’ll see how that goes.
Thanks for stopping by, Joe.
You’ll think of your Dad most every day for the rest of your life. I do. It’s a good thing.
Big Bubba is back in the Phoenix area this weekend and commented on the heat. But he’s with friends, and I think he’s finally fully realized how much he HATES L.A..
IF, (big if), he can find a job somewhere, he’ll be moving back… already has an offer from a friend in Casa Grande to share living space.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Glad he came to his senses about LA – in his situation, I would have made the same decision – get a good paying job, pile up a lot of cash while staying out of debt, and then get the heck out. If he does move back here, that means you’ll be visiting here again, right? That would be good!
Thanks for stopping by, GB!
Around here, blogging is a contact sport lately, lots of BUTT kicking taking place..
Gonna be a hot summer I think. Especially in your neck of the woods.
Fred – I see that. Entertaining, too!
Robert – yeah, officially Phoenix hit 100 on Friday. Luckily, it did cool down a bit today – we’re in the high eighties as I type.
