No Theocracy!(?)
February 3rd, 2007 . by CaryI am confused. Someone, please explain.
The party (Democrat) most associated with the group (Liberal) who decries the establishment of a theocracy in this country turns to – an imam? – to open the DNC meeting. (tip of the hat to Vanishing American for the heads-up)
Very good move, guys – ask the role models of theocracies to lead your choice for government in prayer. No, that doesn’t appear to conflict with your messages against nationally established religions at all. */sarcasm*
For the record – I believe in Freedom of Religion – as stated, not freedom FROM religion, as spouted by the more liberal members of our society. Establishing a theocracy (of any stripe) would defeat the Freedoms – not only of Religion, but Peaceable Assembly, Press, Speech, and Movement that we all enjoy now.
Don’t believe me? Ask any citizen of an islam-controlled nation how freely they may express their dissatisfaction with the leadership of their country.
Lord, show us all the error of our ways that we may better ourselves. Forgive us for being obstinate, and soften our hearts while opening our ears. Above all, Lord, Your will, not ours.
Thank you for stopping by, God bless you all, Wear Red on Fridays, and write in Cary Cartter for President in 2008!
Are you still trying to make sense out of anything “Progressive Liberals” do? I gave up. More fun to just laugh at them. Preferably in their faces.
Cary Cartter in ’08? Hmmm…I don’t know if Americans can bring themselves to vote another Carter into office, even if there is an extra ‘T’. Sorry.
BTW that applies to Clinton too.
I laugh, too, Paul. And laugh, and laugh, and laugh.
cube – the difference is that I will bring common sense and a priority of America First to the Oval Office.
I’m with Paul on this. Trying to make sense of Democrats and Liberals as they spin and spin and spin on every issue is like trying herd cats.
How they remain a power in American politics is beyond me!
At least with cats you can tell the head end from the tail end once in a while…
