Founder’s Quotes
June 29th, 2013 . by Cary“Temporary delusions, prejudices, excitements, and objects have irresistible influence in mere questions of policy. And the policy of one age may ill suit the wishes or the policy of another. The constitution is not subject to such fluctuations. It is to have a fixed, uniform, permanent construction. It should be, so far at least as human infirmity will allow, not dependent upon the passions or parties of particular times, but the same yesterday, to-day, and for ever.”
–Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution
Founder’s Quote Daily
I am subscribed to The Patriot Post – I think through Facebook, but I could be wrong – and part of that subscription is a daily quote from a founder of these United States called, appropriately enough, the Founder’s Quote Daily. They contain very pertinent and important thoughts on the founding of this country, and they should serve as reminders to those who have decided to forget history. Those of us who have not forgotten history use them as boosters, to help us get through what is happening to our country, and as a rally point on the road to restoring this great nation. Which, by the way, will happen.
Whether it happens peacefully or through the shedding of blood remains to be seen, although there are those who believe we are past the point of a peaceful resolution.
Chat ya later…
