Notice Something New?
October 18th, 2007 . by CaryI am not a fund raiser, which seems to be the most prominent feature people want in a leader.
All I could offer was common sense and accountability for actions.
Both of which appear to be in record low-demand.
I wish to thank everyone for pointing people to my blog, and helping get the word out.
With the exception of one person in the midwest, I do not have enough people helping me to get my name on the ballot of states that do not allow write-in candidates. Without my name on the ballots, there are not enough states that allow write-in candidates to get elected that way.
May God have mercy on this country, and the souls of those who wish to turn it into North Mexico or West ShariaLand.
As for the rest of us, fight the good fight. Stand tall, and be counted loudly. Do not vote for an incumbent ever again. Run the bums out, and let real Americans run the country.
UPDATE: 11:15am
I almost forgot.
Doug Gibbs, thank you for having me on Political Pistachio so often. And Jenn of the Jungle (with dtodeen), thank YOU for being the first one to interview me as a candidate.
Thank you for stopping by, God bless you all, Wear Red on Fridays, and support Warriors for Innocence!
Well, I’m disappointed, but not surprised.
I was looking forward to watching the machinations you had to attend to to “get-r-done”, and knew all along the job was gonna require “full-time” effort. That you have to earn a living for your family was obviously gonna be a problem.
I guess I’m also confused about the whole idea of “writing in” a name as my choice for President or other office. If that person has not jumped through the hoops you to refer to, yet gets a huge number of votes, are those votes ignored?
If that is the case, I’m not sure I consider this country a Representative Republic.
Better to have realized the futility of it early though, isn’t it? I look forward to chatting with you about the experience you’ve had, and I’m glad you tried.
Sorry to hear this, but it’s not all that shocking. I had intended to write you in, but I’m registered in CA, and already know that the lefties are going to win the electoral lottery in that state.
It would have been an amazing thing, but it would have taken a pile of money that guys like us just don’t have.

Sorry to hear it Cary. I had also planned to write you in. I find it absurd that in this country of ours, we cannot write in a presidential candidate for every state. It looks like “we the people” need to do some changes around here. Maybe that would be a good project to start with- getting the ballots set up in all states to allow write in candidates?
As you said at the beginning of your run. “A snowball chance in hell.”
I was planning on writing your name down in the primary but as Just John said, “I’m registered in CA”.
A working stiff just doesn’t have time to feed his family and run for any high office. GBYAY – Paul –
Thank you, each of you, for voicing your thoughts. Trying to start a business is tough enough; knowing that if I was successful as a candidate I would then have to take four years off from my business, was a considerable concern.
Yes, California, among others, does not allow the write-in. I would have had to hire or coerce people to circulate petitions in each state that didn’t allow write-ins AND get a certain percentage in order to show on the ballot.
Grey Beard, where the state doesn’t allow a write-in, there is no blank line. The states that allow write-ins, for the most part, only wanted to know you were running as a write-in candidate, then they would count your votes. Most states allowed you two to three days after the election to file as a write in, so that’s how it would count. And no, without the write-in as a viable option in every state, the representative republic ideal is getting thin.
Perhaps Sues has it right – get the laws changed first, then run again.
I’ll keep you all posted.
Again, thank you.
