Memorial Day Weekend
May 21st, 2009 . by CaryOn this Memorial Day Weekend, remember it’s not the races, the barbecues, the picnics, the sales, or anything that we as civilians do that makes this weekend what it is.
It is the sacrifice made by those who are no longer with us that makes this, and every, Memorial Day a weekend that we celebrate and remember.
Those of you I have blog-friended and have served, thank you for your service.
To those who have given everything, thanks are not enough.
We owe you the courtesy of continuing to make sure that this country is worth fighting for.
Chat ya later…
PS – BZ, a big thank you. You know what for. Hint is at the top.
You are most welcome, and all this does is confirm that it went to the best place it possibly could!
BZ
I like the way it makes the 3×5 USMC flag look like something you would find in a cocktail…
You are ab-so-tively, pos-i-lutely right.
Great picture!
Thanks for stopping by, Joe.
The pictures was taken from beside my driveway. I didn’t take into account the tree’s eventual growth (when the house was built, we were assured it would never top fifteen feet, max) when I placed the pole; now I’m having to consider moving said pole closer to the street, and away from the giant miniature tree.
Semper Fi!
Back at ya, DevilDog.
