Thanks for taking my call Cary, and letting me share about our WWII vet, Harold Gilliland and his lovely wife, Lucy and our trip to Washington DC to take Harold to the WWII Memorial. Harold is 85 yrs. old and had 1 dream to see the WWII Memorial before he passed away. He was so happy and told us Life was complete for him now. He was so happy and tickled beyond words. The whole time we were there, the smile never left his face, and he posed proudly for every picture taken of him. His only times when he was saddened, was when we visited the Vietnam Memorial and visited the Holocaust Victims Memorial Museum. He felt somewhat guilty over our country not stopping the horror of WWII and not honoring our vets from the Vietnam War. WOW, the guy serves our country with honor, and feels guilty because of the way our country behaved in these instances, as if they were his fault. What a precious soldier and soul! We can learn a thing or two from this American Hero!
God bless America!
God bless our soldiers!
God bless our President!
Hearing about Harold and Lucy was a treat – I so appreciate you calling in, even though you were on the road!
Glad to hear you had a great time. I’m looking forward to seeing pictures…?
