There is the act of gradually remembering things you have done before, re-learning how to apply them in a practical manner, and easing back into the groove as the train picks up speed while leaving the station.
And then there is the act of jumping over the railing of the overpass, landing on top of said train after it has already hit top speed and is barreling across the topography, while you hope and pray that you find a handhold and the draft doesn’t suck you off and discard you like yesterday’s candy wrapper.
Guess how my week’s been going?

Go Here. Read this, follow the links, and come back here and tell me why the Dems think they can LIE TO THE COUNTRY AND GET AWAY WITH IT.
That is all.

Just for a change of pace – baseball.
I have enjoyed watching the game of baseball since I was a young boy. At various times, I have played on Little League teams and even umpired for Little League once I aged out of the teams.
I started out as a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. I still keep an eye on how they are doing. They are about the only “old school” team I follow. (attended the last game in Crosley field and the first game at Riverfront Coliseum, haven’t been to the “new” Great American Ballpark) I also follow the Rockies and the Diamondbacks, for sentimental reasons – the Rockies because I was born in Colorado, and the Dbacks because they are the home team here.
Up until Sunday, July 22, 2012, I had not attended a Diamondbacks game that they won, and I mean from the first time a pitch was thrown in BOB until Sunday afternoon. That day, I witnessed the Diamondbacks handing the Astros their butts. Two days later, I got to watch as the Diamondbacks trounced all over the Rockies. While I felt bad for the Rockies, I was ecstatic that I had started a new streak – two winning games in a row that I had attended.
Now, it will take a lot of winning games for me to feel like it has changed to a balanced set of wins and losses, but hey, I’m willing to keep attending games in an effort to let that record even out. I’ll keep you posted.

This is going to be the fault of the US taxpayers, isn’t it? It’s not going to be the responsibility of the people who knowingly and illegally crossed into the US, worked jobs illegally, and had children here, is it?
It’s never about personal responsibility and accountability for your own actions, is it? Even if you have more kids than you can support it’s not your fault, is it? “Somebody” needs to take care of the problem, don’t they?
Here’s where I probably piss off a few people and make new enemies.
Stay in your country. Do not bring your small children here illegally and then hope they can deal with the issue when they grow up. Keep your private parts private unless you can support the result of sharing your private parts. We, the People, are sick and tired of being blamed for the woes of the world. Got a problem of your own creation? DEAL WITH IT! Do not blame anyone else, you caused it, you figure it out. Grow up, and take responsibility for your actions. Most five-year-olds in this country already know the difference between right and wrong – have the sense of a five year old, at least, when you are making life decisions.
And quit blaming the US and expecting them to help you.

Sorry. Been away from the blog for a while.
Didn’t even acknowledge DDay yesterday.
Today would have been Mom’s 84th birthday.
That’s all for now.
