“There is a rank due to the United States, among nations, which will be withheld, if not absolutely lost, by the reputation of weakness. If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known that we are at all times ready for war.” –George Washington (1793)

Washington was saying that if a nation shows weakness, then other nations will not respect it. If a nation shows the slightest hesitation to assert it’s place in the pecking order, then those perceived as below it in the pecking order will attempt to move up by showing the weak nation that they are stronger. And that can mean war, or at least a one-sided attack if the nation showing weakness further erodes it’s position by not responding to the show of force.

“[L]iberty can have nothing to fear from the judiciary alone, but would have everything to fear from its union with either of the other departments.” –Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 78, 1788

Hamilton knew that the three branches must operate individually, within their own constraints. By allowing the Judiciary branch of government to combine with either of the other two branches, then Judges will begin legislating from the bench – in other words, start declaring which rules will and will not be enforced, which rules will and will not be codified. With the cooperation of the executive branch, for example, certain laws which were passed to protect the welfare of the citizens by controlling who was allowed to enter the country, what conditions they must meet before entering the country, and what they must do to remain in the country could be ignored – allowing anyone to enter, for any reason, with no regard to their intentions or the state of their health. (you certainly have not forgotten that administrations have been turning a blind eye towards those coming into this country undocumented? do you know that the documents referred to are supposed to include vaccination records? did you know that in the United States, the decision to NOT vaccinate your children was not an issue, since most diseases the vaccinations were for were no longer an issue and did not become an issue until people from an area where control of diseases was not a medical necessity? when people from an area where no control over these same diseases is exerted go into an area where those diseases had been nearly eradicated, then those diseases will find a fertile area to bloom and grow – in the form of children who, until the interlopers arrived, had no reason to be vaccinated …)

Once any two branches of the government model we live under are combined, then God-given rights will be the first casualty. The first God-given right to be taken away will be the right to defend yourself. Imagine how WWII would have unfolded if the National Socialist Party of Germany had not, in fact, disarmed the citizenry before attempting Krystal Nacht, or the roundup of the Jews? Why do you think that the current administration continues to attempt to remove or restrict the citizen’s right to keep and bear arms? If you can’t defend your right to speak freely, then someone will take that right away. If you cannot defend your property from shock troops coming in and taking it away from you, then someone will take your property away from you.

We have a “leader” who refuses to recognize – no, that’s not right. He recognizes it, kinda like you recognize your brother in a picture – who refuses to ACKNOWLEDGE that the United States is being attacked by islam. Not the religion, because it’s not a religion so much as a way of governmental control, but by the adherents TO that method of governmental control. The islamists who are attacking not just us, but people in all countries worldwide, have only one goal: complete and total subjugation of the world to their belief system A belief system that has no room or tolerance for Christian, or Jews, or homosexuals, or outspoken females (or any females, really – sharia law much?) has no room for anyone who is not a true, ardent believer in the system themselves. There are liberal progressives here in the United States that have the intentional ignorance to march in a demonstration holding signs saying “Gays and muslims Unite For Decency” – the ignorance comes from not knowing how gays are treated under sharia law (hint – it’s more than just verbal rebuking for an ungodly lifestyle), the intentional comes from not being willing to do their own research. All they parrot is what they are told.

Obama(THHO) had the chance to take a lesson in leadership when Jordan’s King cut short their visit and flew back to Jordan to take charge of the issue, and ordering the execution of the ISIS prisoners they had in retaliation for the burning alive of the Jordanian pilot. Instead Obama(THHO) decides to issue another sternly worded warning. Yeah, like that’s going to do anything.

What the left, the progressives, the pResident (Obama(THHO)), and the liberals do not want to know (can you say “willful ingorance”? I knew you could …) is that the only way to deal with an organization that thinks that death and martyrdom is the goal, is to give them exactly what they are asking for.

Make them all martyrs.

I look at it as a win-win situation. They get their reward, we get a peaceful existence.

One caveat – it must be total. All of the islamists must be martyred. All practitioners of islam, all muslims, must be allowed to reach their goal. All of them. There are no moderates, there are only those waiting for their chance. Any left, allowed to live, will just start the whole process over again.

Problem is, they live here in the United States, too. Legally or not, they have immigrated here. Invaded these shores, under the guise, direction, and blessing of administrations that are more concerned with building a voter base than the security of the citizens of this country. So they live in your neighborhood, they work in your businesses, they leech benefits from the very government they are here to destroy. If, say, a single person were to initiate the beginnings of fulfilling the martyr’s wishes, that single person would be viewed as a criminal by the very government he was trying to protect. It will take more than a lone wolf to start the protection of this land, but there are already a lot of lone wolves out there, circulating among the citizenry. When the tipping point arrives, you will know them by their actions. You will have a choice then – help them, or be a hindrance. I’m pretty sure any hindrance would not be viewed favorably.

I pray that I am wrong, I pray that we as a nation will wake up in time to defend our way of life, but I am afraid that it is already too late, and that the enemy is already sitting at our tables.

I’m going to borrow an idea that I saw this morning over on Chicks On The Right and ask you if you have ever really looked at your pay stub. Not just checking it for how much you get this pay period, and how much vacation you have saved up, but really looked at some of the numbers below the Amount Earned section.

The next time you get a pay check, stop and look. What if, instead of the withholding being done automatically, you had to write out a check to the government every time you got paid? What if tax day was every two weeks, instead of once a year? (or quarterly, if you are one of those evil rich people with your own business)

Would the amount of money you would be sending to the government every two weeks be enough to get your attention? Would the amount of money that Obama(THHO) and his cronies are spending every two weeks out of YOUR POCKET make you stop and say “Hmmm”?

What do you think you could do with the amount the government is mandating that you owe them? How much better could you be saving for retirement? How much more good could you be doing for those less fortunate? How much would the stress level about affording college for your children go down? Would you still be driving that 17 year old car that, while it’s paid off, still demands a lot of money in the form of repairs and upkeep? (full disclosure: I drive a 17 year old car, and it demands a lot of money every month in the form of repairs and upkeep)

There have been rumblings about disbanding the IRS and changing over to a flat or fair tax. Both are sound ideas. Personally, I like the idea of a consumer tax – you spend money, you pay a consumption tax. That way, everyone is being taxed proportionally. You have more moeny to spend? You pay more taxes. You don’t have as much to spend? You pay less taxes.

So, here’s your homework for next pay period. In the comments below, please tell me what your feelings are about supporting a government that takes so much from you, and please expound on the level of return you get for that investment.

Good Friday to you! It’s the end of another week, the start of another weekend, and in most of the country there will be cold weather. Except here, it’s supposed to be in the 70s all weekend. I know, it’s a rough life, but wait until summer time and I’m complaining about the heat …
