I Need Your Help

February 17th, 2007 . by Cary

Yes, you – the one reading this over your morning coffee – and you, the one who just surfed in on BlogMad, or BlogSoldiers, or BlogExplosion – I need your help!

As you may know, I am running a write-in campaign to be elected President of the United States in 2008. My budget is $0.00. This is strictly word-of-mouth.

How can you help? E-mail me (carycartter AT gmail DOT com, or use the link at the top of the sidebar) and I will send you two pieces of code – one, for the flag-waving banner (Big thank you to Minuteman for designing that!) that looks really cool in your sidebar. Two, for the Technorati tag that is at the end of this post.

What I need you to do: First, insert the sidebar code in your sidebar.

Second, tag every post from now until the General Election in November, 2008 with the Technorati tag code.

Third, let me know you are doing it. I will add you to my list of supporters.

This is, after all, a word of mouth campaign; if you get questions about where I stand on a certain issue, please direct them to this blog. If I haven’t posted an entry about a particular question, I will answer it the best I can.

Recent events (the “non-binding” resolution, democratICK antics, and the border patrol prosecutions) have really gotten me fired up. Either this country is sovereign, or it bows and scrapes to the socialist and socially engineering whims of other countries and even people within the country.

No Theocracy!(?)

February 3rd, 2007 . by Cary

I am confused. Someone, please explain.

The party (Democrat) most associated with the group (Liberal) who decries the establishment of a theocracy in this country turns to – an imam? – to open the DNC meeting. (tip of the hat to Vanishing American for the heads-up)

Very good move, guys – ask the role models of theocracies to lead your choice for government in prayer. No, that doesn’t appear to conflict with your messages against nationally established religions at all. */sarcasm*

For the record – I believe in Freedom of Religion – as stated, not freedom FROM religion, as spouted by the more liberal members of our society. Establishing a theocracy (of any stripe) would defeat the Freedoms – not only of Religion, but Peaceable Assembly, Press, Speech, and Movement that we all enjoy now.

Don’t believe me? Ask any citizen of an islam-controlled nation how freely they may express their dissatisfaction with the leadership of their country.

Lord, show us all the error of our ways that we may better ourselves. Forgive us for being obstinate, and soften our hearts while opening our ears. Above all, Lord, Your will, not ours.

Cary Cartter for President

January 6th, 2007 . by Cary

Write me in, folks. I’ll have the papers filed shortly.

This is the post that led to this decision. It’s on Jenn’s blog, and there is some language involved.

I can hear you wondering, “Cary, what do you know about running the country?”

I know enough not to let armed invaders get away without some ventilated clothing.

I know enough not to let non-citizens claim rights under our constitution.

I know enough not to allow illegal immigrants to benefit from the hard work of the American citizens and legal immigrants.

I know enough to actually assign jobs to people trained in the area, and then get the h3ll out of their way while they do the job to the best of their ability.

I know enough that unless this country gets a leader with the intestinal fortitude to actually lead this country instead of letting other country’s public opinion dictate the leaders’ actions, this country won’t exist for very long.

Mr. Bush, with all respect due to the office you are holding, you aren’t doing the job I voted for you to do. Get your act together. When I take office, I will need to get a lot done real quick, and I would rather not have to un-do everything you’ve done.

Cabinet and support staff position candidates, please leave a comment briefly outlining your beliefs and abilities. My press secretary will be Texas Fred – because he won’t put up with any crap – from the MSM or from me. All other positions (with the exceptions of First Lady, First Daughter, and First Dogs/Cats) are open.

Don’t worry, Liberals will have a place in my administration also – after all, without bad examples, the rest of the country would have to make the same mistakes they did.

I promise to look after THIS country’s best interests first. Yes, there will be some hard rows ahead, but what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.

I will post my dirty secrets here, so there won’t be any “shocking discoveries” made later.

Merry Christmas – We’re Going To Be Busy

December 23rd, 2006 . by Cary

First of all, a blessed Christmas Holiday to each and every one of you – thank you for being such loyal readers.

Second, there is still time for a few entries in the Baby pool – we haven’t left for the hospital yet, and until we do I will still accept entries. Heck, that ought to give you enough clues for some fairly accurate entries. Remember, the winner gets over 800 BlogMad credits, and second place isn’t too shabby either.

Thank you for stopping by, God bless you all, Wear Red on Fridays, and get in on the Baby Pool!

Thud

December 16th, 2006 . by Cary

Besides the sound of a lead balloon, it seems it is also the sound of the reception my last post got.

Could you all do me a favor, and leave a comment about it? Give me some constructive feedback, so I can either polish that type of entry or abandon it.

In the meantime, I’m going to spend a lot of time on BlogMad, surfing up some hits so I can increase the number of entries in the Baby Pool.

Thank you for stopping by, God bless you all, Wear Red on Fridays, and get in on the Baby Pool!
