417. DAVID KELLOGG - 4th son of Harleigh H. (327) and Jane (Scranton) Cartter - b. 10-31-1853 (Mt. Clemens, Mich) - d. 1-26-1928 - m. Nellie Elizabeth Eva King (b. 6-5-1859 - d. 4-21-1930) (dau. of Robert Grainger King and Mary A. (Smith) King) 1878, Syracuse, N.Y.

They moved from Utica, Mich. to South Lowell, a small town in Alabama where David was engaged in the lumber business, operating a sawmill and wood finishing plant there. Later (c. 1888) they lived in Jasper, Alabama, where David built the first ice factory in Jasper. Nellie had visited Harleigh Jr. in Prescott, Ariz. and David's two sisters in Michigan. David retired in 1918 and moved to Lake Worth, Florida.
